I don't know about you all, but I am not getting many Christmas chores and errands done. Even though we have an extra week this year, I am getting "behinder" every day! Today is the day folks! I am gonna get to it because I will be tied up all weekend and Monday. Must set priorities...must set priorities...
Well, I did get the hen house decorated and we all know that is top priority! The girls look like they live at the Moulin Rouge!
Here it is by day...
And by night...
Look who I found when I got home to get these pics? If you look in front of the window of the above pic, you will see two blobs. That would be Rocks Anne and Sophia! How'd they get out???? They seem to always be on the outside looking in as they are the "young'uns!"
Oops, I need to clean the inside... something else for my to-do list! Guess that is really a priority!
I did manage to put out my Nativity set. I cherish this as it took me a whole Summer to paint about 20 years ago. Yes, Mary had a wardrobe change... she could have had more than one outfit! I thought about repainting her, but decided it was part of the set's charm. I really miss the fireplace top where I used to display them. They had more room. But we needed the corn stove worse I guess. Now they are lined up on top of the piano. This set is the one thing I've done that the kids both want. So, I guess I will have to find and paint another set.
There are several spots around the 'hood that have gone to what I think are extraordinary lengths to decorate. I am sure I have missed some, so please don't be offended if your house isn't here LOL. (Mine sure isn't!) The photos don't do them justice. I need a new camera Santa!!!
This house up the road has still more lights off to the sides! It had to take days to decorate! Cool full moon right behind it was a bonus!
The roof changes colors on this one, but the candy cane one didn't turn out:(

Here are a couple close ups of some decorations...
Some folks probably think I have too much time on my hands. This wreath only took about an hour.

and last, but not least, this one is a condo with a dancing Santa far left (a tad creepy because he looks real at first glance...)
Well, I need to get ready to actually work tomorrow for a few hours. I hope you are all enjoying getting ready for Christmas. I have to get with the program ASAP!
Feliz Navidad!

I have done all I am going to do, no kids, so off to the Bahama's I go!! Love your little house though, too cute. Good luck with the decorating, I know it will be spectacular!!
ReplyDeleteThe hens are too cute but I do like how you've decorated for them.
