How To Make A Festive Wreath Ornament!

 

Hello!

I wanted to share one last holiday tutorial with you!  This ornament uses the Sizzix/Tim Holtz Vault Festive Wreath die set and is fun to make!  Instead of cutting out a zillion little colored pieces, I cut everything out of white and inked them myself.  Not sure it was quicker, but I want to believe it was!

A Different Use For Foil Plates!

 Hello!!

I hope you got to play on World Cardmaking Day!  I used scraps to put together a project for a Craft Roulette challenge.  If you aren’t familiar, Craft Roulette is a weekly challenge live on YouTube Friday nights.  They spin for four design parameters that must be included on your project.  I encourage you to check them out!

Fun "Boo Crazy" Wobbling Ghostie Card!

 Hello!

Well, it's September and it's the annual "Happy-Howlo-Thanks-Mas stamping time of year!  No wonder I don't know what day it is half the time!

Isn't this the cutest ghost?  She's from Tim Holtz and Stamper's Anonymous' "Boo Crazy" set,  released a few weeks ago.  She's wearing a hat from "Crazy Things" an older set, still available.  (Stamper's Anonymous doesn't discontinue their stamps sets because they make them themselves.)

Fun Candle Blow Out Boo-thday Card!!

 Hello friends!!

I love to make Halloween cards, but frankly, I don't know what to do with them when I'm done!  Since both of my kids have October birthdays, I decided to combine the events with a cool candle blow out card that really works!  The Candlelights are made by Pear Blossom Press (linked below.)  I even use patterned paper piecing which I rarely do!  (I'm a hoarder I guess!)

Shake It Shaped Standing Card!

Hello there!

Hope all is well with you!  I usually don't purchase kits, but I saw this Gina K one and fell in love with the creatures as well as the florals (not using today.) The month after her kits come out she offers the sets individually.  They are linked below if you want to check them out.

This project features the "Just Keep Swimming" set and the You Tube tutorial linked below is full of tips, tricks and hiccups along the way to making this fun shaker card.  It's not as hard as it looks!

Cool Faux Metal Engraving Technique/ Trinity Stamps June '24 Release!

Scenes, Projects and People From Simon Says Create 2024!

 Hi!

It's fun to meet so many creative people in one place!  I'm fortunate enough to just live up the road from the "Create" venue, so I went both days.  I didn't do classes this time because they sold out in 11 minutes!  Good for them!

Sketch Vs Artify Markers: Are They Worth The $$$ ???

Welcome, or welcome back!  I was given a lot of Artify markers at Creativation and wanted to share my honest, but humble opinion.  To start, I am not a professional artist and I'm not great at coloring.  I sometimes do a little of that on my card projects.

Printmaking Heart Set Four Ways +Bonus Masculine Card!

How to Build-A-Bear Using Kitchen Sink Stamps and Distress Inks!

 Hello there!

Hope your new year is off to a great start!  I'm finally getting over a cough I've had since Thanksgiving!  I got this "Teddy Bear Wishes"set from the Kitchen Sink booth at Simon Says Create and finally have had a chance to use it.  It was perfect to pair with my handful of Distress Ink browns, including the newest (and last) one Scorched Timber!  

The set is so easy to use and position with loads of helpful instructions and photos.  I chose to do Step 2 before Step 1 in this case because I think it's hard to do the eyes first.  Maybe not.  Also, this style of layering stamp lends itself to starting with the darkest color.  It really does work great!
